Dr. Jennifer Hazelwood is the owner and founder of The Eye Site. She is originally from Akron, a graduate of Firestone High School and Ohio University. She received her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2000. After graduating from N.E.C.O., she joined the faculty of her alma mater as a clinical professor and director of eye service at the South Boston Community Health Center. Dr. Hazelwood also served as staff optometrist at Gillette Company and had her own small private practice while living in Boston until her return to Ohio in the fall of 2008. Dr. Hazelwood now lives in Copley with her husband, Alvaro and their children, Diego and Mia. She is also a board member and membership chair of the new Copley Chamber of Commerce and active in the Ohio Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Michelle Ford joined the practice in the Spring of 2011. She is a 1990 graduate of the Ohio State University’s College of Optometry. She built a successful 18 year practice at the Sears Optical at Rolling Acres. When that office closed, she joined the Eye Site and many patients have happily moved with her to continue under her care. Dr. Ford and her family live in the Akron area and enjoy water skiing, snow skiing and boating. Her husband, Dr. Mark Ford has a dental practice in Fairlawn.

Dr. Hazelwood and her staff are the best! Everyone is so attentive and friendly and unlike the big chains, the same folks still work there every time I go in to the office. They offer the hometown feeling that big chains simply cannot duplicate because they are part of the community. My current eye glasses prescription are the best I have ever had. I highly recommend The Eye Site at Copley Circle.
